The objective of ELBO is to grant and cancel licenses to Electrical Contractors,Certificates of Competency to Supervisors and permits to Electrical Workman who satisfies the conditions stipulated in eLBO Regulation 2014, to conduct examination for Supervisor and Electrical Workman, to grant and cancel of temporary contractor license and contractor license who satisfies the condition stipulated in the regulation and also to ratify the provisional license approved by chairman.

      ELBO also advises the State Government regarding all matters related to issue of licenses, certificates or permits. In case of any changes/amendments required in the lecensing procedure/criteria, Board may recommend the same to Govt. for consideration and incorporation in the license regulation through proper notification by Govt.

      ELBO also decides the violation of any of the provision of these regulations on the part of Electrical Contractors, permit Holders and Supervisors as per Regulation.
